Philippians 2:4 (TLB)  Don’t just think about your own affairs, but be interested in others, too, and in what they are doing.

Something I have observed in life and have been taught by the Holy Spirit about is selfishness. I have noted over and over again that human beings are primarily selfish. Now, this is not trying to be negative, but it is my observation. Most people do things because of what it will benefit them, without thinking about the benefit of the other.

The scripture above is written by the great Apostle Paul who later went on to say how Jesus was given the Name that is above every name.

WHY?

Because of his humility. He did not put his own desires before God’s. He didn’t think about himself first. And this led to his exaltation and promotion. God proceeded to put everything in this world under the power of the Name of Jesus because He could TRUST him.

God is looking for people he can REALLY TRUST with his most precious possession…and that is SOULS.

At this time in the history of the earth, God needs men and women He can trust. Heaven is searching for those whom it can trust with the wealth and glory of the kingdom to nourish, protect and lead people.

I say people and not just God’s people because His desire is that the WHOLE world would accept what Jesus came to do.

God cares about ALL PEOPLE. He wants to reach ALL OF HUMANITY.

When we put aside our ambitions and have genuine interest in helping others, God can use us more than we can ever imagine.
